Today’s Matter is an event aiming to be a platform where people from creative and related industries showcase and celebrate great design.
The event takes place in the Matter of Something’s headquarters in Bandung, Indonesia, as the host for a growing community of design enthusiasts getting together to celebrate creativity and lifestyle.
We believe that the strength of a community comes from the strength relationship, which will lead us to more impactful outcomes forward in society.
The event is a must-see destination for art and design enthusiasts, it is also open to the general public. The programme is carefully curated yet inclusive: exhibitions are open for two days from 10:00-17:00 and are free for anyone to attend, but in rsvp, dialogue with professionals to know the mind behind the art and design that will inspire people by the innovative thinkers leading the future of the creative industry, also the opportunity to meet designs brand and related stakeholders shaping our collaboration.

i.e. House at Jalan Buton is considered as one of the historical colonial houses in Bandung during the Dutch colonial period. The neighbourhood blends urban life and historical architecture characterised with a modern style architecture influenced by Art Deco style.

Story of World Iconic Furniture
A Story of World Iconic Furniture is a curated furniture collection by Matter of Something. The session aims to exhibit world iconic designers’ pieces, such as lighting fixtures and chairs designed by well-known designers: Charles & Ray Eames, Arne Jacobson, Verner Panton, etc.

Paintings by Dimas Budiman, Clarissa Tifanny, Meutia Afifah, and Photographs by Asita Yulia
Dimas, Clarissa, and Meu are three artists with diverse interests in their work. Dimas explores the intersection of human memories and influenced by inhabiting space. Clarissa focuses on children’s art, site-specific works, cultural studies, and creative economy initiatives. Meu often deals with food, women, paradoxes, the harmony between chaos and order in life, and contradictory visuals.

Hans Wegner - A Pioneering Danish Furniture Designer
The dialogue talks about the story of Hans Wegner, the pioneering Danish furniture designer. At the core of this conversation about Wegner’s legacy is his emphasis on revealing the inner soul of furniture pieces through a simple and functional exterior.
NOCTURNA:
The Branding Identity Development
Nocturna was founded by Brisbane-based visual artist, Sam Penberthy, in 2015. Inspired by dark landscapes & the subconscious, Sam moved outside of her photography practice & reinterpreted her inspirations into a tangible product that celebrates night in all its mystery & beauty.
The work and the idea behind transforming her perspective into a brand and how to sustain herself in the industry.
