The Pumpkin — Autumn 2025

It’s large, orange, and reportedly breathing. Locals have dubbed it “The Great Pumpkin of Calm,” though most visitors agree it’s more “The Great Pumpkin of Chaos.”

The autumn installation at TRIBECA reinterprets transformation through stillness and imperfection. Centred around an organically shaped pumpkin in the Zen garden, the piece embodies quiet beauty and renewal. Its subtle illumination and natural form invite reflection, echoing TRIBECA’s philosophy that true beauty evolves, is grounded in truth, shaped by nature, and revealed through imperfection.

To celebrate the autumn season, we and TRIBECA unveil a sculptural installation — an organically shaped pumpkin placed at the heart of its natural Zen garden. In its stillness, the pumpkin symbolises a beauty that breathes without performance. It becomes a metaphor for renewal and transformation unfolding in silence, where perfection often promises change but conceals authenticity. Through this seasonal installation, TRIBECA embraces a different understanding of transformation: one shaped by time and grounded in truth. Here, beauty is not performed but revealed through imperfection: the irregularities, the warmth, and the honesty beneath the surface that make us human. TRIBECA’s Zen garden serves as the central space that reflects this belief that true beauty evolves through its relationship with nature. From day to night, the sculpted pumpkin glows softly at its centre, bringing to life the quiet balance between beauty and imperfection that defines TRIBECA’s philosophy.
