NARA Bar is a healthy food space in Bandung that uses fluorescent neon colours, raw materials, and playful spatial details to express energy, freshness, and change. Inspired by fruit, nightlife moods, and the healthy food movement, the design creates a lively setting for casual gathering and better living.

Inspired by a pineapple peel, the bar comes alive with neon hues, creating a visually engaging centrepiece.

The door to the bathroom is designed uniquely by combining mirrors and glass to show the concept that the ‘change’ of individuals is a process.

The Healthy Food Movement takes various forms: choosing more greens, opting for locally grown foods, and adjusting diets for nutritional value. NARA's creation is more than just a space; it is a unique perspective on embracing a healthier lifestyle. The space introduces another way of perceiving change for individuals to eat healthier and live better.

Electrifying and intense, fluorescent neon colours infuse excitement and energy into the design. Echoing the revival of 1980s design styles, artificial-inspired neon colours are used to attract attention and give the space a summery or nightlife-themed mood. Neon pink takes on fun and playful characteristics, while yellowish-green provides the freshness of fruits, introducing the products and healthy smoothie bowls.

NARA created a place to enjoy healthy foods. People can sit relaxed, having friendly conversations with their community in a casual and warm environment. The window-side seating area emerges as a captivating focal point, facilitating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor realms when the windows are opened.

Inspired by a pineapple peel, the bar comes alive with neon hues, creating a visually engaging centrepiece. The panel behind the plinth offers a versatile platform for decorative elements, adding curated artistry to the design. The bathroom door combines mirrors and glass to express the idea that individual change is a process. Pine plywood and raw materials, including concrete, evoke a natural aesthetic harmonised with strategically placed greenery, fostering a seamless integration of interior and nature.
