Exploring brass, terrazzo, and fabrics, we seamlessly weave them into a vibrant palette dominated by pink and yellow hues.

A small space with just over 20m ² was the site for deploying this pop-up cafe in front of a retail store building in Bandung, Indonesia. The underlying concept of this project revolves around the notion of a "pause," intending to provide customers with a welcoming space to linger both before entering the store and after completing their shopping experience. Navigating the confines of limited space posed a compelling challenge in shaping the design narrative for this project, prompting innovative solutions to optimise the envisioned scenario. The outcome transformed into a lively 'kiosk' design, inviting visitors to order and enjoy a variety of beverages and snacks effortlessly.

The focal point of the design lies in the seating area, meticulously crafted to encourage the idea, inviting individuals to envision and engage in unfolding an activity in an urban context. The bench inspired the seating design in the train or bus station. Its ergonomic aspects support people to rest in between standing and sitting poses. Defined by an arch-shaped wall treatment, this space is enveloped in the warmth of pink-hued wood, complemented by strategically placed mirrors that conjure illusions of expansiveness, contributing to the overall design narrative.

Embarking on a material exploration journey, we delved into the domains of brass metal, terrazzo, and fabrics, seamlessly intertwining them with a palette dominated by vibrant hues of pink and yellow. This thoughtful fusion not only captivates observers but also draws the gaze of passersby, establishing a visual allure within the architectural and interior composition.
