Developed for Berdikari, a company with roots dating back to the 1970s, the project reinterprets the brand’s visual identity through a balance of heritage and contemporary design. Subtle references to historical letterforms and Art Deco typography informed the development of a custom wordmark, creating a visual connection to the company’s legacy while improving clarity and versatility. Through refined proportions and simplified details, the identity establishes a more confident and enduring presence. The result is a contemporary visual system that respects Berdikari’s origins while positioning the brand for its next chapter.

































Berdikari is a company established in the 1970s, carrying a legacy deeply rooted in Indonesia’s industrial growth. This project focused on reimagining the brand’s visual identity by bridging its historical foundation with a contemporary design approach. 

Subtle references to heritage letterforms and Art Deco typography informed the development of the custom wordmark, creating a sense of familiarity and cultural context without becoming overtly nostalgic. Through refined proportions, simplified details, and enhanced readability, these influences were translated into a cleaner, more versatile identity system. 

The result is a visual identity that feels modern, confident, and enduring while maintaining a meaningful connection to the brand’s origins. By balancing historical character with contemporary design principles, Berdikari is positioned to move forward without losing sight of the legacy that shaped its foundation.
